Mr Story – Gas fire installation

Can we have a gas fire? A common question that was asked by Mr Story over the winter period and one that we can often provide with a positive answer. In this case Mr Story was questioning if it was possible to have a gas fire installed in the lounge of his new bungalow. With no chimney we decided to create a new fire box and flue installation that could be made to look like a traditional fire surround and chimney breast. We installed the flue box and flue through the ceiling and roof space to terminate above the roof tile line. Once fitted and tested Mr Story was able to complete the fabrication work to recreate a chimney breast and fire surround. When Mr Story had completed the building work we were able to complete the fire installation and commissioning. The final product gave Mr Story the gas fire and surround that he had hoped for in a situation that most wouldn’t expect achievable.
